Free Crochet Chunky Basket Pattern

Here is a free crochet basket pattern using the crochet seed stitch. I use this basket for my crochet projects and feed the yarn through the handles so my balls and skeins don't roll all over the room! I made it using two strands of yarn so it's nice and sturdy and stands up straight when full. It can hold 6 skeins of yarn comfortably, plus my hook case.

I Made this Basket to Hold My Yarn!

I love how this basket holds six skeins (or balls, or yarn cakes) of yarn! I can keep all the yarn for a project in this one bag. Keeps things neat, tidy and organized and it's SO cute which makes crocheting even more fun.

Free Crochet Seed Stitch Tutorial

This basket is really easy to make. I made it in 3 to 4 hours! It works up quickly because of the two strands of yarn.

  1. I like to print my patterns. Is it possible you could set this basket pattern up so I don’t have to print all the ads. Love this look of this basket. Hope you can help.

  2. Looks like I will have to kick and punt on line 23 as it seems to have something wrong on it. It has me baffled and I am not up for playing guessing games with a pattern.
