Over the next week, you'll get three patterns to create a project for Valentine's Day. Stick around and share pictures of your progress on any of my social media channels – Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag, #CALMyMerryMessyLife so we can all find each other's pictures!

Here's the first pattern. I'm making 4 of them in four different colors. The idea is that you choose your own color scheme and yarn, so we each have our own unique project using the same pattern! You can also do each round in a different color!

Step 5: Finish round two by crocheting 3 double crochets in the back loops only of the previous 3 double crochets from round 1, then work another corner (3 double crochet, chain 3, 3 double crochet). Repeat the next side with 3 double crochets in the back loops only, then work the last corner (3 double crochet, chain 3, 3 double crochet). End of round 2.

Step 9: Work the next corner (in the previous chain 3). 3 double crochet, chain 3, 3 double crochet. Work the next side, which is again, 1 double crochet in each of the next 9 spaces (so 9 double crochets total for each side). The last side is only worked half way, since we started it in the middle of the side (see the orange line below, that is what we are working). So work 1 double crochet in each of the next four spaces, back loop only again. Then, work a slip stitch at the top of the last chain 3 to close it. Done!Crochet Granny Triangle - Free Pattern and Tutorial - closing up the last round

Check back on Monday morning for the next prompt, where you'll have the next week until Friday to complete it (since we are generally much busier during the week, I'm allowing for more time to finish it).
