Natural and Non-Toxic Beauty Recipes – Easy and Frugal, too!

Making your own non-toxic and natural beauty products at home is easier than you might think. We tend to think it’s some complicated chemical formula that can only be done in a lab, but that’s what the big companies want us to think – how else would they make the big bucks? Those products are also laden with highly toxic chemicals that can be totally avoided when making your own recipes at home.

  1. Hello,
Thanks for all the great info! I love to use Bronner’s baby castile soap for so many things.
You can also make a liquid soap from Kiss My Face olive oil bar soap. I like to use the following recipe for a shampoo and body soap because it’s less alkaline than Bronner’s. (I like what I read about this particular soap on the consumer’s guide.)
Bring to a boil about 3 cups of water. Add a finely grated 8oz. bar of KMF pure and unscented olive oil soap and let sit overnite for the soap to dissolve. Prices vary wildly on this product; Kroger’s sells this for $3 in my area.

  2. Thanks for making these reference posts. I must say, I found it a bit hard to find stuff and make it because I had to either follow a link in a post, or scroll though the homepage to find it. Now it’ll be MUCH easier! Thanks!!!

    • Hi there! So glad you found what you needed here. I use the Oil Cleansing Method to remove my make up – it also cleans and moisturizes my face at the same time, so it’s a huge money saver! Thanks for sharing, Fuego!
