I Won An Award!
I'd like to thank Tara from Therapy 4 Roses for thinking of me and giving me a Liebster Award for new bloggers! Tara is a talented seamstress, wife to an actor, and mother to two adorable children who blogs about sewing, motherhood, and crafts! I grew up next to Tara and I can't say enough good about her awesome family!
So, while I'm very grateful to Tara for an award, I have to admit I felt like it I was part of a ponzi scheme or a chain email, since I now have to pick five other bloggers to award. My math-brained hubby pointed out that the number of recipients grows exponentially with each award, so basically every blogger in the universe will win! It seems even sillier when a Google search to learn of its origins rendered no results (well, maybe on the 50th page, but I didn't go that far). No one seems to know how it started or who's behind it – whoever it is must be enjoying this!
Well, in any case, it's still fun because it helps us newbie bloggers, with less than 200 followers, get more publicity for all our hard work and pass some hugs around. And I do have some friends to recognize!
There are a few pesky rules for the recipients, however:
1. Post about your win on your blog.
2. Link back to the blogger who presented you with the award (My Merry Messy Life).
3. Copy and past the award button to your blog.
4. Present the Liebster Award to 5 blogs that have fewer than 200 followers that you think deserve to be recognized.
5. Let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
