Free Granny Stitch Sun Hat Pattern for a Baby Girl
A free crochet pattern for an adorable granny stitch sun hat for a baby girl! This pattern is also available in a toddler sizes – click here for that pattern. It works up quickly and will keep the sun off of precious little faces.
After making several sun hats that accidentally fit toddlers (I was actually trying to make them for babies and failed three times in a row!), I finally figured out a pattern using the Granny Stitch to make for babies about 3-6 months, or for about a 14 to 17 inch lil' noggin'. The crochet sun hat brim pattern can be found here.

Love your baby girl granny stitch sun hat. Have one question about the pattern. The transition to the brim. It’s easiest to see if looking at your turquoise hat that just has yellow contrast at the transition to the brim and again for the last row of the brim. You mention that the hats in the photos do not use your optional row 1 for the brim. I was wondering what you did do for the ones in the photos. It looks to me like your first brim row in the turquoise colour was to SC in every HDC of the prior row and 2 SC around the ch1 between the clusters of 4 HDCs from the prior row. Is that correct? Or what did you do?
what would the pattern be for a 12-18 months baby girl
was wondering if you have a granny square dress for 12-18 months as well
thankyou
