12 Essential Oil Recipes to Help Kids with School

Here are 12 back-to-school essential oil roller bottle and spray recipes to keep your kids healthy and strong. I love using essential oils to keep my kids healthy, which is the number one reason I started using them in the first place!

How to Make a Roller Bottle Recipe

For back-to-school essential oil roller bottle recipes, you need three things – a 10 ml. roller bottle, 1 tbsp. carrier oil, and approximately 10-20 drops of essential oils. The amount of essential oils varies depending on the age of the person and how strong or “hot” the essential oil is.

Carrier Oil

You need 1 tablespoon of any carrier oil. Carrier oils are not the same as essential oils – they are fatty and oily and help dilute the essential oils so that they can be applied to the skin without irritation. Essential oils are very potent, powerful, and very concentrated, so it's usually best to dilute them before apply to your skin. Here are some of my top favorites:

Roller Bottles

I buy the 10 ml. (1 tbsp.) roller bottles, and here are my favs!

Making Your Roller Bottles

Put in the essential oils first (10-20 drops per bottle), then add the carrier oil. Push on the roller ball top, then screw on the cap. To dilute for children, see my guide here.

To apply the labels, wipe the bottle down with rubbing alcohol first, then dry it with a paper towel. Or, wash with soap and water and then dry with a paper towel.

My Favorite Essential Oils Company

I buy my essential oils exclusively from Young Living. I have found their quality and standards to be the best in the business! Their oils have worked better for me and my family than any other company’s oils. They have very strict quality standards, and I’ve seen them for myself as I’ve visited several of their farms. No pesticides or herbicides, and they hand weed their fields as farming equipment can damage plants and cause the essential oils that come from them to be less effective.

  1. Hi,
I just bought the back to school pack and there appears to be a spelling mistake. It says ‘brace and courageous. Should it say Brave not Brace??
