3 DIY Natural Winter Wellness Recipes You Gotta Try
Here are three DIY natural winter wellness recipes using essential oils you gotta try! These will help keep you healthy and moisturized during these cold, dry winter months. One is a body butter, one is an immunity roller bottle recipe, and one a vapor chest rub.
3 Winter Wellness Recipes
The first of the three winter wellness recipes is this Vapor Chest Rub. It is so super simple to make and use! Use anytime you feel like you're coming down with something and it can even be used during exercise to help open up your lungs and sinuses. Apply it to the chest and spine, but do be careful with coconut oil because it can leave oil stains on clothing. Make sure the coconut oil is rubbed in really well before putting your shirt down. This is also safe to use on children!

- 1/2 cup Coconut Oil
- 6 drops Marjoram
- 6 drops Raven Essential Oil Blend

Put all of the ingredients in the jar and stir until well combined. If the coconut oil is cold and hard, heat over the stove or in the microwave until softened.Â
Rub on your chest when you feel a cold coming on or need help breathing. It can even be used before and during exercise to help while your heart rate is up and you're breathing fast!
Notes
Other oils that would work: Eucalyptus Radiata, Eucalyptus Globulus, Frankincense, Cedarwood, Thieves, LavenderÂ
The second of the three winter wellness recipes is this luxurious body butter recipe! I've been making and using this recipe for years! It is so luxurious and creamy. It's perfect for dry skin and places like the heels, elbows, knees and other very dry spots.

Melt everything but the essential oils in a double boiler on the stove on low heat, stirring frequently. Once melted, remove from the stove and refrigerate for 45 minutes or until it hardens. Remove from the fridge and while with a hand or standing mixer for five minutes.

You can make a makeshift doubler boiler using one smaller pot inside of a larger one. Put a cup or two of water in the larger pot. You can also heat the ingredients in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between each one, until melted.
Other oils that would work well in any combination that you like – Lavender, Frankincense, Cedarwood, Joy, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Dragon Time and many others!
