How to Safely Use Essential Oils
Breathe​ ​Them​ ​In
Using​ ​essential​ ​oils​ ​can​ ​literally​ ​be​ ​as​ ​easy​ ​as​ ​breathing​ ​them​ ​in,​ ​either​ ​straight​ ​from​ ​the bottle​ ​or​ ​you​ ​can​ ​put​ ​a​ ​few​ ​drops​ ​in​ ​the​ ​palms​ ​of​ ​your​ ​hand​ ​and​ ​breathe​ ​in.
Also,​ ​you​ ​can​ ​run​ ​your​ ​diffuser​ ​with​ ​literally​ ​any​ ​oil​ ​that​ ​smells​ ​appealing​ ​to​ ​you​ ​(they​ ​all​ ​will help​ ​your​ ​body,​ ​mind​ ​and​ ​spirit)​ ​for​ ​four​ ​hours​ ​a​ ​day.​ ​It’s​ ​really​ ​easy​ ​to​ ​turn​ ​it​ ​on​ ​right before​ ​you​ ​go​ ​to​ ​sleep​ ​for​ ​healthy​ ​breathing​ ​and​ ​sleeping.
Can​ ​Use​ Them ​Internally
The​ ​oils​ ​with​ ​the​ ​white​ ​labels​ ​(vitality​ ​oils)​ ​are​ ​for​ ​internal​ ​use!​ ​The​ ​bottles​ ​of​ ​the​ ​same name​ ​(so​ ​Lemon​ ​Vitality​ ​and​ ​Lemon)​ ​actually​ ​contain​ ​the​ ​exact​ ​same​ ​thing,​ ​but​ ​they​ ​are labeled​ ​differently​ ​to​ ​make​ ​it​ ​easy​ ​to​ ​you​ ​know​ ​which​ ​ones​ ​are​ ​safe​ ​to​ ​ingest.
Just​ ​put​ ​a​ ​drop​ ​of​ ​your​ ​favorite​ ​vitality​ ​oil​ ​in​ ​your​ ​water​ ​(any​ ​of​ ​the​ ​citrus​ ​oils​ ​will​ ​do)​ ​or coffee​ ​each​ ​morning​ ​(cinnamon​ ​or​ ​Thieves)​ ​and​ ​enjoy!​ ​It​ ​adds​ ​a​ ​ton​ ​of​ ​flavor​ ​and​ ​helps​ ​to keep​ ​your​ ​body​ ​healthy.
Use Directly on the Skin
All of the recipes in this post are to be used topically, on the skin. Be sure to dilute your essential oils with a carrier oil  like Fractionated Coconut or Sweet Almond oils as essential oils are very potent and strong and could irritate the skin if used undiluted. Diluting them also helps the oils to last longer!
For All of the Roll Ons You'll Need:
- 1 tbsp. (10 ml) carrier oil for each roll on (Fractionated coconut or Sweet Almond oil are my favs)
- Roll on bottle

Breathe Roll On Recipe
Apply this to your sinuses, throat, bridge of nose, chest – wherever you think you'll need it for healthy breathing! It would also be very effective in breathe the oils in by rolling it into the palms of your hands, rub them together, and cup over your nose and mouth.
- 5 drops peppermint
- 5 drops Raven
- 5 drops Citrus Fresh
- 1 tablespoon carrier oil (Fractionated coconut or Sweet Almond oil are my favs)
Focus Roll On Recipe
Use this to help when you need help with focus and concentration. Take it with you to work, or use on your kids while they're doing schoolwork. Roll it on the forehead and on the back of the neck. You could also roll some in the palms of your hands, rub your hands together, and take a few deep breaths to inhale the oils. The aroma alone can make your brain more focused and alert!
- 5 drops peppermint
- 5 drops lemon
- 5 drops Raven

Immunity Roll On Recipe
As soon as you start to feel like something is coming on like when you get that tickle in your throat, start rolling this on your sinuses, throat, back of the neck and bottoms of your feet (put socks on afterwards). Do it as often as you need to, several times in one hour is safe, but each person responds to essential oils differently, follow the safety guidelines I've written at the top of this post if you have any issues.
- 5 drops Frankincense
- 5 drops Rave
- 5 drops Thieves
- 1 tablespoon carrier oil (Fractionated coconut or Sweet Almond oil are my favs)
Sleep Roll On Recipe
Use this anytime you want to fall asleep faster and have a great night's sleep! It'll help your mind to relax and calm down, and your body to feel more at ease. Roll it on the bottoms of the feet and massage in, roll on the chest and back of the neck. It would also be very effective in breathe the oils in by rolling it into the palms of your hands, rub them together, and cup over your nose and mouth.
- 5 drops Stress Away
- 5 drops Frankincense
- 5 drops Lavender
- 1 tablespoon carrier oil (Fractionated coconut or Sweet Almond oil are my favs)
Happy Roll On Recipe
Use this roll on for when your mood needs some help! For when you're stressed, frustrated, angry, overwhelmed and any other feeling that doesn't feel good. Roll anywhere that's helpful – but some good places would be the back of the neck and forehead. It would also be very effective in breathe the oils in by rolling it into the palms of your hands, rub them together, and cup over your nose and mouth.

- 5 drops Peppermint
